The season so far

So, past the halfway point in the fixture list and a good time to look back on the year and reflect on the progress made. Overall, the August to December period has been satisfying in terms of points and league position but somewhat less convincing with regard to performances. The fact that we started the season with a completely new coaching staff, lost both Modric and VDV and brought in 3 or four new players could be considered to be the cause of that, but really it has been more a case of both manager and players having to adapt to each other. Transitions, Testaments and a Test of Worth

To quote from another article by Robert Reed: “£100million eh? I can’t believe it! In fact I don’t believe it!”

Probably the sentiment of most Spurs fans right now, especially as, true to the Levy-esque style, no figures have been forthcoming from the club. Whatever his reasons, Levy has taken the bold step of separating the club from certainly one of its most successful managers in recent years, Harry Redknapp. It seems we are finally on the brink of getting what most have been crying out for in recent years; some genuine ambition and a willingness to put our money where our mouth is. Where do we go from here

I’ve got to say I’m really struggling with this. This is possibly the worst I’ve felt in 45 years of following Tottenham. I seriously can’t get my head around such an incredible collapse. Behind the scenes must be sheer chaos at the moment. The more I think about it all, the more it baffles and angers me.
